At WordifyScience, we believe that great ideas deserve to be clearly expressed, well supported and shared with the world. Since 2015, we have helped researchers, innovators and storytellers turn complex projects into compelling manuscripts, proposals and narratives that make an impact.
WordifyScience was founded in Switzerland in 2015, when Sylvia Jackson was preparing to move to Portugal and looking for work she could do independently, from anywhere in the world. Working with words and documents needed little more than a computer and an internet connection, and so WordifyScience began: editing and checking scientific documents for scientific researchers and R&D organizations in academia and industry.
Over the following eleven years, the work grew naturally with our clients. Researchers asked for help with their CVs and next career steps. Students asked for support with their theses. And organizations began asking a bigger question: which funding should we pursue, and how do we win it?
We still work the way we started: independently and remotely, serving clients globally.

What our name means
WordifyScience is a play on the word verify. To verify is to check that something is correct; to wordify is to put it into words. Together, they describe what we have always done: making sure science is accurate, and making sure it is expressed clearly. Verified science, in well-chosen words.
